The frenzy of household “chores,” as Dan calls them, is winding down. Now I’m just leisurely doing some of the lower-priority items…the things I know will take some time and patience.
Done since the last post:
– Cleaned nearly everything from under the stairs in the backyard; left a couple of things to do when someone can help me
– Moved items from the hall closet into the black bookshelf and the gray bookshelf
– Reorganized the hall closet
– Purged / reorganized downstairs living room closet
– Purged / reorganized bathroom cabinets
– Purged / reorganized kitchen drawers and cabinets near the sink
– Purged / reorganized desk drawer in the little vintage kitchen desk
– Purged / reorganized a couple of other kitchen drawers
– Gutted the front garden
– Potted some plants from the front garden
– Twist-tied the climbing rosebush to the porch railing

I also watched Logan’s Run (that was a weird one), went to Ipanema the other night for Mandy’s birthday, went to Kim’s wedding, and went to my parents’ for fire pit hangouts with Maddie.
Now I think I’m going to actually spend some valuable time just chilling (and maybe sewing), all by myself finally! Getting these things done feels great, but enjoying the house after they’re done is even better.
