where exactly is atlantis?
March 22, 2007
This week has been pretty lazy, mostly because I know this weekend is going to be crazy. So I’m trying to conserve energy so that I can be as fresh-faced and fun as possible this weekend.
Activities this week have included:
– eating salade nicoise made by Maddie
– getting interviewed for a “southern mysteries” web site that the Times-Dispatch is putting together
– Sixteen Candles
– Flight of the Navigator (a truly genious movie that is probably another reason I grew up obsessed with sci-fi)
– Jacques Cousteau DVDs with Bruce
– troubleshooting and fixing the internet troubles with the Wii
– turning into a wolf in Twilight Princess
– a lot of lounging around
Let’s cut to the chase, because I have a ton of links for you.
- Pretty teapots and such. I’m still deciding on a teapot to get.
- If you care about Earth Day.
- Etsy’s doing a bumper sticker challenge! Booyah.
- And speaking of Etsy, check it out! My neighbor (well I guess my former neighbor now) Lori is going to be working at Etsy. There’s one for the home team!
- This amazing dress made of maps blew my mind.
- In case you didn’t notice, you can do collections on Flickr now.
- Clearly this brooch is screaming my name.
- I am loving the idea of hatlets in general, as well as this hatlet made by special combo.
- An interesting find from WOTBN: a spreadsheet of vacant property around Richmond.
- A vampire’s dream.
- Meet Koji Kondo, the genius behind the Super Mario theme music.
- Fricking Punchline archives!!!!!!!
- Full Bloom Teas are for Nicole and I. Definitely.
- I heard there’s one in Richmond.
- It’s like grafitti, except it’s not lame.
- Pretty much exactly my style.
- Cardboard caskets. This is what I’m talking about.
- Agreed.
- Some interesting ideas from Issey Miyake (quelle surprise).
- See, this is what we need. Painted floors and a dead-ish tree.
- Today’s interview on Panda Head is really good; I love the styles they’re trying to mix.
